Irving, TX - SEPTEMBER 13 - Former NetVU Chair is named to chair IIABA's Agents Council for Technology, announced the Council's Executive Director Jeff Yates. James T. Armitage, CPCU, AAI, Principal at Arroyo Insurance Services Inc., officially began his chairmanship September 1, 2011.
Yates said that Armitage was selected because of his proven leadership within the industry and his specific experience in the area of agency technology. "We are grateful for Jim's willingness to take on this additional responsibility and look forward to working with him as we drive adoption of the various ACT initiatives."
Armitage is a past president of IBA West; he served on the IIABA Board and chaired several IIABA committees and initiatives including: the Young Agents Committee, InVEST and Trusted Choice.

NetVU is committed to supporting organizations and activities that work to enhance independent agency efficiencies and growth in their bottom line.
"Another NetVU leader, Joyce Sigler, vice president of administration at the Fairlawn, Ohio-based Jones & Wenner Insurance Agency, was recently named co-chair of the Real Time/Download Campaign," noted Polansky.
In this new role as Chair of the ACT Committee, Armitage follows a cadre of other distinguished leaders including: Angelyn Treutel, Treutel Insurance Agency; Robert Slocum, Slocum Insurance Agency; and Ed Higgins, Thousand Islands Agency.
