Educators Guild FAQ
Q: Who will the potential Guild members be?
A: We would like to have the following as members of the Guild:
- Conference Educators
- NetVU Trainers
- Vendors/Partners
- Chapter Leaders
- Board Members via:
- Webinars
- Pre-conference General Session Coaching = Practicum
- Chapter Leadership
- Agency Staff
Q: What are the requirements?
A: The requirements to obtain the Guild Certification include:
- Recommended for the 2012 NetVU Conference educators
- Required for the 2013 NetVU Conference educators who are new or had a score of less than 8 in previous classes taught
- Grandfathering allowed by exception until 2015 - contact NetVU for information
- 20 question examination (attend all webinars, then successfully complete the short Guild Test)
- You must be an Educator and therefore a member of the Guild to be on our approved educator list for Conference, Chapters, etc.
Q: Is there a recertification?
A: Recertification – every 5 years, all three of the following are required:
- Live Practice/Peer Review (Conference, Fall meetings or Chapter events)
- Attend or View a TTT session and do a critique/write-up of an outside speaker or trainer
- Facilitate or Train for NetVU or Vertafore twice
- Submit your re-certification affidavit via this website after 1/1/2013
Q: What are the Training Requirements?
A: Four hours of pre conference, live instructor webinars (Kick-off March 2011):
- Effective Content Organization - 1 hours
- Effective Speaking Skills - 2 hours
- Effective Facilitation Skills - 2 hours
- Effective messaging: The NetVU & Vertafore Relationship 1 hour
- Running Effective Meetings *Recommended, not requried
These webinars are recorded and available at your convenience. There is no charge for the courses for volunteers who have committed to speak at NetVU events.
