The NetVU Education Memorial Scholarship in memory of Francis P. McDonnell offers conference registration fees, travel and lodging for a member who could not otherwise afford to attend NetVU Conference.

The goal of the award is to:

  • Assist insurance professionals in reaching a higher level of performance by participating in the NetVU Conference.
  • Assist Vertafore users with the sometimes unaffordable professional development costs and thereby contribute to their ability to provide continuing education to employees.
  • Enhance the knowledge of insurance professionals so that they, in turn, will contribute to their association and the profession as a whole.

Award Criteria:

  • The applicant’s employing firm must be financially unable to pay the registration fee, travel and lodging expenses for the NetVU Conference. 
  • Applicants must be employed on a full-time basis and have worked for the member firm for a minimum of one year as of the date of application.
  • Applicants must be a first-time Conference attendee.

The NetVU Young Professional Education Scholarship covers the conference registration fees and lodging for a NetVU member.

The award was developed to:

  • Assist emerging leaders in reaching a higher level of performance by participating in the NetVU Conference and connecting with their peers.
  • Assist NetVU members with the sometimes unaffordable professional development costs and thereby contribute to their ability to provide continuing education to employees.
  • Enhance the knowledge of emerging employees so that they, in turn, will contribute to their association and the profession as a whole.

Applicants for the Young Professional Award must be younger than 40 years old, have fewer than five years of industry experience and be a first time NetVU Conference attendee.
The deadline for applications is Friday, January 13, recipients will be notified in January 2017.
