Will you be in Cincinnati the morning of Tuesday, May 21?
Please join your fellow NetVU friends and the U-VU Ohio NetVU Chapter for our annual Day of Caring! This year, we’ll be onsite at the Duke Energy Convention Center supporting Lighthouse Youth & Family Services, a local organization “dedicated to advancing the dignity and well-being of children, youth and families in need.”
Lighthouse staff will kickoff the project by sharing about the lives the organization has touched. Volunteers will assemble 1,000 hygiene kits and 1,000 snack packs to be given to those living on the streets through their outreach program.
Even if you are not able to stay the entire time, or you are not able to arrive right at 8:30 a.m., we encourage you to participate as you can. There is no cost to participate, but we do need everyone to register so we can get an accurate volunteer count. We will work on the project until it is complete or 11:30 a.m., whichever comes first.
You can also donate items for our project through NetVU’s Amazon Wish List. Be sure you’re selecting the option to ship to Lighthouse c/o Tessa Barnard so that we can keep track of inventory. If you wish to donate another way, contact Lauren Crosby.
If you have questions or need assistance with registration or donating, contact Lauren Crosby.
Thank you to our Day of Caring sponsor, The Cincinnati Insurance Company, for supporting our event and Duke Energy Convention Center for donating 1,000 water bottles!
