Why I'm excited for NetVU17

By Lauren Crosby, Chapter Coordinator, NetVU | 2/27/2017

Sure, there are lots of reasons to be excited about the 2017 NetVU Conference like the tips and tricks you'll bring back to the office that will make you look like a wizard. It might be the only time each year you get to see your friends from across the country. Of course, the location is fantastic too. Nashville's the new hot destination with its music scene, nightlife, history, and our conference is in the thick of it!

But why can't I wait to pack my boots and rhinestones for Music City, U.S.A.? It's a little something called our Day of Caring which will be taking place on Wednesday, March 22nd from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Music City Convention Center at the front end of NetVU17. That’s right, we’re onsite this year to make the event more accessible.

Day of Caring is NetVU's annual service project, providing NetVU Conference attendees with the opportunity to give back to the local community. It's comes as no surprise to those in the insurance industry that we "insurance folks" are dedicated to helping others. With NetVU being a volunteer-driven organization, our user group attendees are uniquely positioned to participate.

This year when you donate your time along with us, you’ll become a partner in the fight against hunger in Middle Tennessee. Your fellow NetVU friends, our Nashville NetVU Chapter, and Vertafore’s local office personnel will be putting together snack bags and messages of hope for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. If you can’t join us this year, you can still contribute by donating.

Thank you to our Day of Caring Sponsor, The Cincinnati Insurance Company, who will be providing T-shirts and snacks to keep our volunteers energized!
