Summer of Accelerate Is Here & It's All Virtual

NetVU’s Summer of Accelerate is a digital approach to learning, empowering you to get the most out of your Vertafore products. Working together, Vertafore, NetVU, and volunteers … the users themselves … will provide development updates and new product feature previews. Additionally, we’ll work to connect you with your network of fellow users and the industry at large! Summer of Accelerate, is open to all Vertafore Product users (NetVU members).

NetVU Membership 
As a Vertafore product user, your membership in NetVU is automatic and free.  NetVU membership gives YOU the ability to learn from, connect with, and share ideas with member firms and their staff, all using Vertafore technology products just like you.  Contact us at [email protected] if you have questions about your membership or to access to resources in this article. 

Of course, by now you have heard about Accelerate. Yes, Accelerate is a BIG deal to us at NetVU! However, there is a lot more to membership in NetVU than Accelerate, our traditional three-day national conference.  Accelerate is the culmination of our entire year and in three days you can experience what NetVU’s original founders envisioned for sharing insurance technology knowledge and solutions.   

Even though we were not physically able to host our members this year at Accelerate like we have for the past 43 years, we are offering you a similar, albeit a very different, experience.  This year, all summer long, we’re providing you with a virtual experience of NetVU and Accelerate, FREE of charge.  This expanded digital approach will provide learning, development, previews of new product features, and networking! It’s the coolest way to beat the heat of summer while taking your knowledge to the next level. 

During Summer of Accelerate, you will experience each of the pillars of NetVU’s mission which are - World Class Education, Networking, and Advocacy. And you’ll do it alongside your peers, volunteer leaders, NetVU staff and Vertafore experts.

Thank You Volunteers 
NetVU is driven by more than 500 volunteers. On Wednesday, May 27 join us at our meeting of members to hear our volunteer leadership’s vision and to offer support for NetVU’s executive board of directors induction of new members.  NetVU leaders will recognize volunteers who have gone above and beyond to help their communities.  You will also hear inspiring remarks from our current Chairman of the Board and Vice Chair.

If you are new to NetVU or need an overview of resources and a tutorial on how to access benefits of membership, join us for a virtual member orientation on Thursday, May 28.  This interactive session will walk you through www.NetVU.org, share benefits, and introduce you to The NetVU Community. The NetVU Community (or NCOM) is our most popular tool for members to connect with each other.

Networking through connecting with others 
NetVU members continually stress they learn more by connecting with others and with Vertafore, in the hallways and down time at Accelerate. We are giving you a way to connect with others who may be just like, or similar to, you. We are going to have virtual meet and greets, and chapter meetings based on your location, size, product use, and role in your organization. We strongly encourage all members to connect with other NetVU members through online chapter meetings where you’ll make friends who connect with you on the deepest professional level — friends who understand your work and your challenges.

Summer School Education 
Throughout the summer, join NetVU member-led virtual sessions filled with the valuable education that we make available every year at Accelerate. This year, we are calling it Summer School. It starts in late May and will run through August.
Virtual Courses will center around core Vertafore products:

     • BenefitPoint 
     • ImageRight 
     • Sagitta 
     • Executive Management 
These sessions will kick off Tuesday, May 26.  Sessions will be added daily. Check back often and watch NCOM for updates.

World-Class Education  
NetVU is investing in our members and our hope is to provide valuable content in a format where you can make the most of your investment in your Vertafore products. To that end, we have added a session designed to provide NetVU educators, as well as our members, the ability to grow your presentation and delivery skills. Whether your stage is a Zoom call with colleagues, a presentation to your board or a system training room, mastering the basics of preparation and delivery is the first step to boosting your effectiveness.  We are investing in our membership with the hope of boosting the delivery of the knowledge you gain this summer.

Advocacy 
NetVU volunteer leaders regularly meet with Vertafore executive leadership, working on the behalf of members. During the kickoff session you will hear highlights of updates to your Vertafore products. Many of these updates and enhancements were submitted by you through the Ideas portal and reviewed by volunteer committees. 

The Summer of Accelerate kickoff event, presented by Vertafore, will be held June 9–11 and feature opening keynotes presented by Vertafore leadership highlighting new products being released and areas of investment all designed to help the independent agency channel thrive.  Interactive workshops on what’s new and what’s next with your core Vertafore solutions will also be provided, as well as focused breakouts to help you get the most out of your technology. Finally, Q&A opportunities with the Vertafore leadership team will be provided throughout.
