Code of Ethics - NetVU Certification

The purpose of the NetVU Certification Program is to enable members to fully implement areas of their Vertafore systems. Upon obtaining the Certification, one must adhere to the principals and practices set forth in the following code of ethics:

  • I will apply the utmost good faith in the conduct of business or professional activities. I will constantly endeavor to place the public interest above my own.
  • I will continually seek to maintain and improve my professional knowledge, skills and competence.
  • I will support the development, improvement, and enforcement of laws, regulations, and codes that will promote competence and ethical conduct on the part of all insurance practitioners and benefit the public.
  • I will strive to build and maintain dignified and honorable relationships fellow insurance professionals, and with members of other professions.
  • I will contribute in improving the public understanding of insurance and risk management.
  • I will honor the integrity of the NetVU designation and respect the limitations placed on its use.
  • I will abide by all insurance laws that relate to the conduct of my business.
  • I will obey and abide by all laws and regulations and will avoid any conduct which would cause unjust harm to others.
  • I will disclose any potential conflict of interest prior to joining the private NetVU Community or as soon as a potential conflict is discovered. I will uphold the principals of NetVU and will not commit acts that discredit NetVU.
  • I will evaluate Real Time tools as they become available.
  • I will make an effort to use the latest technology to further the production of our company.
I understand that being certified by NetVU does not constitute an endorsement in any way of our products and/or services. Any violation of the code will be reviewed by the NetVU General Education Committee for further action which may include revocation of membership.
