NetVU Committees and Work Groups

Executive Board    
The NetVU Executive Board is responsible for determining the strategic direction, priorities and goals of NetVU as outlined in the organization’s bylaws.   

Blue Sky Innovation Work Group 
This group is representative of the Business and Technical mindset needed to pose futuristic questions that can drive system agnostic Vertafore strategic positioning and solution development.  This group would also be charged with identifying subject matter experts on futuristic topics and invited them to join in on the conversations when appropriate.  This group will represent multiple products.  This NetVU Work Group will meet quarterly or as needed via the web/conference call. 

Business Development Work Group 
Works in cooperation with the Industry Relations committee. Create and help to execute on commerce strategies to grow non-dues revenue for NetVU through existing partnerships with carriers and third-party solution providers. Additional objectives include designing appropriate messaging to attract Exhibitors and Sponsors for NetVU's annual conference and trade show. Annual Commitment. Quarterly online meetings. 

Chapter Leaders 

Working in conjunction with your fellow chapter leaders, responsibilities include: 

  • Developing a strategic plan for the chapter that is consistent with NetVU’s mission, the needs of the general membership of the chapter, and the financial resources available to the chapter. 
  • Contributing to chapter goals and objectives. 
  • Implementing policies and procedures established by the NetVU. 
  • Contributing to the development of meeting agendas. 
  • Attending chapter meetings. 
  • Driving chapter meeting attendance. 

There is a quarterly "One Voice" call hosted by the NetVU Chapter Committee for all chapter leaders. Chapter leaders are generally elected by members of a chapter. Terms and participation are in accordance with Chapter bylaws. 

Chapter Committee 
The NetVU Chapter Committee’s mission is to drive, support and coordinate on-going development and perpetuation of successful NetVU chapters. Committee members are responsible for building connections within assigned local or virtual regions. These relationships help chapters thrive and remain compliant with NetVU chapter operating procedures. The Chapter Committee also reviews NetVU member needs to encourage new chapters to organize. Committee members must be current chapter leaders. Annual commitment. Monthly virtual meetings. 

Education Work Groups 
System and target specific education work groups define education topics that will help NetVU Members improve utilization of their Vertafore products. System-Specific Education Work Groups are responsible for evaluating, developing and furthering the education needs of Vertafore users, and using that feedback to determine basic, intermediate and advanced content for NetVU webinars, Chapters and Events. Work Groups will be created for specific events and initiatives and will meet at least monthly via the web/conference call. Task or Event-Based This NetVU Work Group will meet at least quarterly or as needed virtually. 
Volunteers are needed to create and write content, lead and direct sessions and present content.

Industry Relations Committee   
Collaborates with insurance companies, vendors and all supporting industry organizations to encourage and facilitate seamless processing of data between parties. This is accomplished through development and adoption of technologies that foster a uniform environment promoting productivity and efficiency within the industry. This committee meets virtually monthly 
 
Integration Task Force 
Works in cooperation with the product maintenance & enhancement work groups to provide feedback to improve Vertafore product integrations. Annual Commitment. Quarterly online meetings. 

Leadership Development Committee   
Review applications, interview candidates and makes recommendations of future NetVU Executive Board members and officers.  This committee meets virtually 4-6 times a year, typically in late Q4 and Q1.  

NCOM Ambassadors 
Serve as NCOM (NetVU Community) Champions and monitor major communities to ensure that posts are responded to quickly. Share resources and encourage other members to subscribe and share their knowledge. Quarterly Virtual Commitment. 

Member Onboarding/New Member Welcome Wagon 
Welcome new members to NetVU and communicate the value of participation in communities and with available resources. Onboarding may also involve outreach to Members who have not yet actively engaged with NetVU. 

Product Maintenance and Enhancement Work Groups 
These systems specific workgroup works closely with Vertafore product management team members to gather suggestions from the user base on how to improve the existing systems to maximize the efficiency and productivity for all users. The workgroup will determine if feedback will be implemented in future releases or passed to the education work groups to share knowledge about workflow with users. Annual Commitment Monthly virtual meetings and an annual face to face meetings for select group.

Regulatory Compliance Work Group(pervades all systems and users)  
It is imperative that compliance issues immediately rise to the surface and get onto a product roadmap, so users remain compliant with insurance regulations.  This work group provides the Vertafore development teams with awareness of various regulatory issues that may drive changes to system usage and technology applications.  NetVU has relationships across the industry with people who are involved at the local, state and national levels.  These individuals are involved with driving insurance regulations that impact system users, as well as Vertafore system development needs. This NetVU work group will meet at least quarterly or as needed via the web/conference call.
