The Network of Vertafore Users (NetVU) is an independent, national member organization, based in Irving Texas, committed to helping the 500,000+ users of Vertafore solutions fully realize their systems through education, networking and advocacy. Its members enjoy live and on-demand web training led by insurance and industry experts, an active online member community, and an annual flagship community member event, Accelerate, powered by NetVU. Because of our long-standing and productive partnership with Vertafore, customers of Vertafore are automatically members of NetVU, no dues required.  
  

The Executive Director is a dynamic and enthusiastic leader who reports to the NetVU Executive Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director manages the NetVU staff and collaborates effectively across various constituencies, including the Executive Committee, NetVU workgroups, and Vertafore management, among others. The Executive Director understands the role of the organization in balancing insurance needs and technology opportunities that drive the members’ success, utilizing diplomacy skills in keeping the organization strategically focused, while promoting and improving the commitment of NetVU’s hundreds of volunteers who serve its community.
   

The Executive Director is responsible for a consistently high level of customer satisfaction, leadership engagement and creating a culture of proactive and positive engagement to enable the NetVU members, staff and volunteers to develop their greatest potential.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in a business-related field, or equivalent work experience  
• Masters degree preferred
• Demonstrated executive leadership skills
• Advanced knowledge of office procedures and systems, including financial management 
• Frequent travel required

Role Profile:

• Actively engages and works with the Executive Committee and Board to set and achieve the strategic direction of the organization 
• Maintains a positive and productive relationship with Vertafore’s senior executives and Industry Leaders 
• Keeps the Executive Committee and Board informed on all matters requiring action and supplies its members with sufficient information upon which decisions can be based
• Complies with all requirements of the position set forth in the bylaws and other operational standards of the company
• Develops and maintains strategic reports to establish current and long-range objectives, plans and policies, and tactical reports that indicate progress achieved to date
• Under direction of the Finance Committee, management and implementation of all financial matters and development of the annual budget for consideration by the Board of Directors
• Ensures compliance with laws including all federal and state corporate filings, taxes and other legal documents as required
• Works with the incoming Chairman and Leadership Development Committee to ensure a smooth transition for leadership and committee changes as neededv
• Ardently promotes membership interest and active participation in NetVU activities and member services
• Proactively identifies opportunities to share expertise and add value to the organization
• Represents the organization in a manner that enhances relationships with its members, its founding partner, insurance carriers, industry leaders, third party vendors, workgroups, chapters, endorsed products, and the public
• Oversees and directs leadership development and leadership training for the volunteers becoming active in the organization and builds a pipeline of diverse talent for the future
• Oversees NetVU staff including remote staff, and monitors internal processes to continuously implement efficiency and productivity improvements
• Hires, manages and terminates staff as required; engages vendors, and negotiates and executes contracts on behalf of the organization
• Monitors the establishment of and maintains an effective management of a succession program

Job Description

The NetVU Learning Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for a variety of member-facing meetings, events and programs. Primary duties include participation in and oversight of event (both virtual and live) setup and execution; preparation and distribution of marketing email notifications promoting events; coordinating web-based presentation setup and post webinar video editing; oversite of accurate and timely updates to database records; preparation of reports; word processing support, and handling other miscellaneous administrative projects as assigned. References to “Programs” are understood to include offerings through Chapters, Education and NetVU Partner Program components.

Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION:

1. BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university, OR three (3) years of related work experience.
2. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
3. Strong communication (oral and written) skills.
4. Proficient using the Microsoft Office software suite, particularly Word and Excel.
5. Familiar with using a Database and internet research tools. 
6. Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities, work independently, handle interruptions and proceed with objectives without supervision.
7. Knowledge of modern business communication, including style and formatting of letters, memoranda, emails, minutes, and reports.
8. Ability to pro-actively handle and resolve problems with grace and diplomacy.
9. Must be available on occasion for special meetings before or after regular office hours when required and for overnight travel 5-8 nights annually.
10. High-energy, positive “can do” attitude demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
11. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
    
    

Preferred:

1. Working knowledge of iMIS database or another database program.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of associations and the insurance industry.
3. Working knowledge of learning management and on-line training software.
   
   

Role Profile:

1. Under the direction of the Program Coordinator-Learning Experiences and Chapters, assists volunteers in the development and execution of Program meetings and presentations-both live and virtual. Includes but is not limited to suggestions for topics, guiding volunteers to available resources, marketing, meeting logistics coordination and virtual meeting hosting using available web-based tools.
2. Prepares and distributes various promotional announcements and surveys using email distribution programs in coordination with NetVU marketing department to insure branding and effective distribution scheduling.
3. Supports the administration of established NetVU certification programs, including the Educators Presentation Guild, to ensure compliance within set certification standards.
4. Coordinates setup and maintenance of content in NetVU’s learning management system.
5. Works with NetVU Member Relations Team to ensure that accurate and current member data and participation records are maintained in iMIS; maintains written procedures to improve data quality and use.
6. Prepares and compiles Program data reports to support various member engagement initiatives.
7. Under direction of Program Coordinator, manages all aspects of preparation and hosting of quarterly “One Voice” Chapter Leader calls.
8. With guidance from Program Coordinator, represents NetVU at chapter meetings and events.
9. Coordinates the daily workflow of program inquiries and meeting setup through mail, phone, and email, both internally and externally responding within 24 hours or as soon as practicable with requested information in established formats.
10. Establishes and maintains permanent files associated with all programs including filing and retrieving files as requested.
11. Actively monitors and participates in department related NCOM communities.
12. Regularly updates chapter and education resources, communicating to volunteer leaders as appropriate.
13. Liaise with Chapter Leaders and NetVU Accounting to maintain individual chapter finances, invoices and payments for chapter meetings and events.
14. Works cooperatively with other NetVU staff to accomplish goals and complete tasks in alignment with established standards, procedures and workflows.
15. Performs other functions as assigned from time-to-time to support NetVU projects, task forces and general operations.
