One way to easily increase productivity as an agency is to purge paper and embrace automated technology. That is one of the first decisions Meehan Insurance Agency executives made in 2019 when switching offices, exchanging physical filing cabinets for Vertafore’s AMS360 to virtually store files. In addition to using automated technology for their processes, they also encourage their insurer partners to embrace the same approach. 

“Our biggest carrier does eDocs for everything, which is amazing. All of their transactions get into the customer file without us having to touch it,” Meehan Insurance Vice President Jason Ryan said. “One of my biggest pushes for carriers is eDocs for everything. I think once carriers get on board and figure out this is the way to go, we’ll be in a much better position.”

“Production has grown 10-fold, even with COVID. We’ve been able to do way more with less. Even with production growth, we didn’t need to add more staff because we just streamlined all the processes everyone was doing,” Ryan said.
