‘The New Frontier’ and NetVU17

By Barb Dale, CPIW, CISR, CPCU, NetVU Chairman

I often tell new NetVU members that attending Conference is “a must.” I say that because I learned so much at my first Conference. No other meeting has as much education and networking packed into a single venue. Read more of what Barb has to say on the NetVU blog.

Learning to Thrive in the Age of Disruption

NetVU CEO Kitty Ambers was featured in the January 2017 issue of PIA Connection. Her article "Learning to Thrive in the Age of Disruption," noted the need for independent agents to adopt new technology if they want to remain competitive with captive agents and direct carriers.

NetVU proudly supports insurance agent organizations and actively reaches out to engage insurance professionals to support them on their journey toward full-system utilization.

Prosocial Outlets = Workplace Connectedness = :)

By Hillarie Holcomb, NetVU Marketing Specialist
Working from home is possibly the best thing to hit the industry, in my opinion. My husband is a U.S. Marine and we are constantly on the move. There’s a little space in our small townhouse that is designated as my office. I have a web cam and skype so I can see and talk to my colleagues, who are all over the country. I created a special Spotify playlist to listen to while I’m getting things done. Two house rabbits keep me company when I need a quick break. Still, with all that, I can feel like there is something missing. While volunteering at MetroCrest during the NetVU quarterly meeting in Irving last month, I discovered exactly what it was – true workplace connectedness. Read more on the NetVU blog.

Virtual Meetings You Shouldn’t Miss

It can be challenging to fit local user group meetings into your schedule, but NetVU Chapters, Education, and Partners are here to help. Our user group volunteers have been working hard to provide virtual opportunities on the latest hot topics to help you better utilize your Vertafore system.

The best part of these virtual meetings is that they’re open to all NetVU members so you have the opportunity to connect to other users and education that you might not normally have access to for a local meeting. Sign up to receive a copy of the webinar recording if you aren’t able to join during the designated meeting time.
